Diversity of Herbaceous Flora in Jungle Lore: A Study of 65 Species Across 35 Families

The biodiversity of herbaceous flora plays a vital role in the ecological balance and sustainability of ecosystems worldwide. Jungle Lore Birding Lodge located in Kumaun Shivalik range, the breathtaking landscape of Pangot stands out as a unique area, Jungle Lore Birding Lodge is known for its incredible biodiversity and pristine environment, this lodge has been developed as a natural heritage and birding paradise since 1994  by Mohit Aggarwal Founder - Asian Adventures, India various native plants were planted here and as a result of that several birds, insects and animals are considering  Jungle lore as a home now.

Through careful field surveys and taxonomic studies, from different papers and websites, we aim to catalog and analyze 65 herbaceous species belonging to 35 families. By understanding the distribution patterns, environmental preferences, and functional functions of these plants.

About the area:
The area is developed by Mr. Mohit Agrawal to conserve a unique area for native flora and fauna species and to promote ecotourism. Pangot is primarily known for its dense forests and diverse birdlife. The area is about 44600 square feet. It has a very rich diversity of flora like oak species, rhododendrons, birch family, and rose family, and in avian species are sparrows, crow family, woodpeckers, sunbirds, etc and in herbs, it's a very diverse area. The study area is located between 29°25'23"North and 79°25'34"East, latitude and longitude between elevation 2000mt. in Uttarakhand Himalaya.
